SIS has been the leading supplier of high quality sugar in Singapore since 1967. SIS provides sugar products in Singapore and Internationally. Since launching our export business in 1988, we have seen rapid growth across the regions in the Middle East and South East Asia. Today, SIS is one of the leading imported sugar brands in the United Arab Emirates. ACHIEVEMENTS We pride ourselves on utmost quality delivered from our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities operating under the highest quality standards and protocols, starting from quality checking of inbound ingredients to final product before arriving at our customer’s premises. Our entire production process is strictly controlled by experts to follow internationally recognised quality management principles. To ensure our products are consistently produced and controlled according to highest food safety standards, SIS’s in-house laboratory runs frequent tests on every production batch. We engage technology that gives us high level of automation and recipe accuracy with very high particle size consistency. HISTORY During the early days of independence, the Singapore government established the first and only sugar refinery, “Sugar Industry of Singapore Limited” as a strategic initiative to secure nutrition for the nation. In 1988, The local sugar industry was deregulated and opened up for private investment. ED&F Man Holdings Limited saw the potential for sugar industry in Singapore and invested in what became known as SIS’88 Pte Ltd.
