4.1 Best Superbrands Book Cover Competition One of the evening's most memorable moments was the announcement of the winner of the Best Superbrands Book Cover 2026 Competition. Banco UBA claimed this exclusive distinction — an accolade that extends well beyond corporate recognition. As its prize, UBA received an original artwork created by the celebrated Mozambican visual artist Sebastião Coana, a tribute that unites business excellence with the artistic and cultural expression of Mozambique. This initiative reinforces Superbrands' commitment to celebrating not only commercial success, but also creativity, visual innovation and local artistic talent. The work by Sebastião Coana, integrated into UBA's narrative of success, becomes a symbol of how brands of excellence transcend the purely commercial to impact society and culture. 5. Impact and Visibility — Media & PR The event generated an immediate impact. The presence of brands such as TV Miramar and Vodacom, together with press coverage, ensured that the Superbrands Mozambique message amplified its reach well beyond the walls of the Polana Serena. The official launch of the Superbrands Book 2026 positions the awarded brands on a platform of exclusivity that will be leveraged throughout the year in their own communications campaigns. 6. Conclusion and Next Steps The Superbrands Mozambique Gala 2026 was an unqualified success, reinforcing the franchise's position in the country and delivering tangible value to its partner brands. Playground will now proceed with the Brand Activation phase, ensuring the distribution of the books, the publication of case studies and ongoing support to brands in utilising the Superbrands Seal within their corporate communications. The 6th edition of Superbrands Mozambique was held in a particularly challenging market context, with a reduced number of participating brands but with significant interest from other entities, as well as strong press coverage — a full media clipping will be shared in the coming days. Despite the constraints, we honoured our commitments to the brands, partners and guests, as conditions were no longer conducive to a further postponement. The delivery of this edition also required a direct financial investment on our part as the Superbrands representatives in Mozambique, even in the absence of a positive financial return. Nevertheless, we are of the view that this edition fulfilled its institutional role, reinforcing Superbrands' presence in the market and keeping the platform's relevance alive. For the next edition, a clear minimum number of participating brands will be established as a condition for the event to proceed, thereby ensuring greater financial sustainability, better planning and an even stronger experience for all involved.
